Occasionally, Millwork Development will push out bug fixes and feature updates to the AutoLauncher via an update. Updating is straightforward, and should be done as soon as possible to ensure your experience is as smooth as can be.
Here's how it will work:
For Current AutoLauncher Versions
The upgrade process is streamlined for users on newer versions of the AutoLauncher. When an update is available, you will be greeted by a dialog box such as this one.
This tells you what version you're on and what version is available, what has changed in the AutoLauncher recently, and offers to upgrade. Clicking the update button will download and launch the installer, removing the need to use your web browser. Simply click the update button and let the installer walk you through updating your AutoLauncher.
For AutoLauncher Versions before 2.1.0.0
Users on a version of the AutoLauncher older than 2.1.0.0 will see a upgrade notice like this.
Click yes. This will open your web browser (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge) and begin begin downloading the update. You may see a notice asking if you would like to save or open the file. Either one of these options will work, with open being the preferred. Here's what it looks like on Firefox.
Once the download is complete, you will need to launch the installer. You can do this either by clicking on the installer from your web browser, or by double-clicking the installer in your downloads folder. Once this is done, the installer will launch and walk you through upgrading your AutoLauncher.
