What is the web version?

The web version of the E-Catalog, also sometimes referred to as the lite or Guacamole version, is a web-based client for the E-Catalog. The web version was created specifically to meet the needs of our retail customers who are unable to use the Auto-Launcher, but has become increasingly popular due to its performance and simplicity.

All of this said, there are a couple limitations to note when using the web version:

1. Due to limitations in web technologies, users are unable to access files on their local computer. This means that if a user was working on a project locally they would be unable to continue working on that project using the web version.
2. Typing using an iPad, iPhone, or other touch-enabled device is spotty. For this reason we recommend users on mobile devices do not use the web version, or at least use a Bluetooth keyboard with the web version.
